Nursery
was founded in 1990 by Tim & Maggie McCall in a
small back garden with just an 8ft greenhouse, a
wheelbarrow and a few pots.
The business has
developed over the years into a true
"family-business" with help from children, parents
and who ever was willing to get dirty hands !
Most of the early
sales were gained at fetes and car boot sales
locally, but soon progressed to bigger events
further away.
We currently still
have stands at regular events, especially garden
shows which are always a pleasure to do and meet
gardeners. See the

After much
pressure from customers wishing to visit, we open
our plant centre and it was an instant hit !
In April 2008 we
launched our online shop which has been long awaited.

you visit you will be helped by either Tim or Maggie
Having left school I went
straight to work in a small local nursery in 1981
and have spent most of my working life in the
nursery trade, with a small excursion into the world
of IT and computers. In 1990 I was lucky
enough to be able to start a Nursery which had been
a dream for many years.
After many long hard days and
sometimes nights, my dream started to come together.
Now I am able to realise my dream and spend my time
growing plants in a beautiful location 50 yards from
my bed ! Brilliant !

Today the Nursery is
very different with two separate areas, the plant
centre and the growing area. This allows visitors to
wander easily around with out the day to day work
causing any problems.
Investing in new
machinery and technology has allowed us to focus on
the growing plants and bring the customer a
healthy plant at a very reasonable price.
There is no "middle man" to pay so customers get a
good deal.
We make every
effort to protect the environment and wildlife
around our nursery by not using sprays. This
has been rewarded by exceptional wildlife,
particularly birds with many species thriving
amongst our plant areas
